THE NORTHERN BEACON PROGRAM
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAM
The Northern Beacon Program was set up to facilitate recognition for ongoing financial contributions to the Cosmopolitan Foundation Canada by Western Canadian Federation members and friends of Cosmopolitans in Canada. All donations to the Foundation by individual or corporations are tax receipted.
OPTIONS FOR GIVING
There are several ways that you may contribute to the Cosmopolitan Foundation Canada Inc. to participate in the Beacon Program.
Twice Annually, during the Western Canada Federation Conventions, you are invited to make contributions during the Beacon Luncheon. This may be by way or cash or cheque donations.
One Time Gifts may be sent to the Cosmopolitan Foundation Canada Inc. to the address provided under the contact page on this site.
Monthly Giving may be set up by credit card through CanadaHelps.org. Amounts for monthly giving can range anywhere from $10 a month and above.
Etransfers are welcome to cosmofoundcaninc@outlook.com. Please include your name in the comments along with any notation for the gift.
THE PROGRAM
The Cosmopolitan Foundation Canada Inc. has developed the Northern Beacon Program to recognize our ongoing contributors.
There are seven levels within the program. You reach these levels once you have donated the identified milestone. Donations may start at $100/year and you can take up to 10 years to achieve your level.

Northern Beacon - $1,000
Silver Beacon - $2,000
Gold Beacon - $3,000
Platinum Beacon - $5000
Canadian Emerald Beacon - $10,000
Canadian Ruby Beacon - $30,000
Canadian Diamond Beacon - $50,000+
RECOGNITION AWARDS
When you participate in the Beacon Program, you receive a Canadian Northern Beacon Pin that you may wear at your discretion. Additionally, plaques are presented at each level. With your $100+ accumulated donation that starts your level, you will receive a plaque for that level. For the subsequent $100 increment at the level, you will receive a tag that is added to the plaque. This continues at each level and awarded at the Spring Western Canada Foundation Convention.
HANDS ACROSS THE BORDER
The goal of this program is to team up with a U.S. Cosmo (to join the Northern Beacons) with a Canadian Beacon (to join the Beacons). The U.S. Cosmo will make the contribution to the Beacons in the name of the Canadian Cosmo, and the Canadian Cosmo will make the contribution to the Northern Beacons in the name of the U.S. Cosmo so that each can take advantage of their respective country’s tax laws.
